For her first-ever fragrance, singer/actress Selena Gomez enlisted her fans to help her nail down the kind scent they wanted to spritz on themselves. It was this process that was the highlight of launching the self-titled perfume.

“The best part was the fan interaction,” she told MTV News. “I was kind of nervous when the reaction of it would be because no one’s ever done that, to where people could go online and help create the fragrance. But I figure they’re the people that are going to wear it, so I want to see what’s kind of in, I guess, now. So that was the fun part.”

Because of the starlet’s innocent reputation, we expected her to be baking cookies in her free time rather than firing pistols. However, she’s in Bulgaria right now shooting The Getaway remake, which is action packed. We imagine she’s shooting the gun more for work, than for personal pleasure.

“50 Shades of Grey” written by E.L. James is definitely getting a lot of hype. Even Hollywood celebrities are hooked on the BDSM-filled novel.

Despite the overly mature and sexually explicit content, actors are expressing their interest in playing the male lead, Christian Grey. Now fans are also speaking up on who should be cast as Anastasia Steele, one of which is none other than Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez didn’t have much break over the summer unlike co-star, Vanessa Hudgens of “Spring Breakers” who was spotted canoodling with beau, Austin Butler at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. While a few “Jelena” fans may have reveled in a few PDA-filled dates of Selena and Justin, the 19-year is back in the game to work on another film.

Selena Gomez is proving to be quite the busy bee and news is she hasn’t been getting much sleep lately. The 19-year old star has been spotted and stalked by her fans in Bulgaria, causing lack of sleep and privacy for the star.

From Florida to Bulgaria, Selena Gomez has started her shoot for the film “The Getaway”.

The film is based on the 1972 classic flick which had starred Ali MacGraw and Steve McQueen. “The Getaway” revolves around the story of a young veterinarian who gets into a seductive relationship with a bank robber, who then forces her to run away with him.

The handsome, Ethan Hawke is set to star opposite Selena Gomez in the film. So while filming had begun in Bulgaria, die-hard Selena fans had already set out to stalk the singer. Being as classy and sweet as ever, Selena made no big deal out of the hotel drama and simply moved on to another hotel.

It’s no big news that Selena is getting some action pumping scenes in “The Getaway” with Ethan Hawke. However, will Selena be ready to pump more than that if she does get considered for the role as Anastasia Steele in “50 Shades of Grey”?

Fans of the novel have spoken up and Selena’s name has been mentioned quite a few times. Other notable names in the list of casting choices for Anastasia Steele include Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars”, Dakota Fanning, Mia Wasikowska and Emily Browning.

Yet, given the novel has been considered “mommy porn”, would Selena Gomez even want to star as Anastasia Steele?

“I thought Harmony was so smart to cast her, Vanessa and Ashley because it seemed like they were so hungry for some deeper kind of material, hungry for indie material,” Franco, 34, told me at last night’s opening of Rebel, a group art show inspired by James Dean’s classic movie, Rebel Without a Cause, for L.A.’s The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). “They really gave their all when they were acting,” he continued. “You’ve got great performances.”

“When Harmony told me who he was going to cast, I thought it was perfect for so many reasons,” Franco told the magazine. “The young actresses are so excited to do a movie like this with someone like Harmony. They were so eager and enthusiastic to be a part of it.”

Speaking about her role, Selena Gomez says that, “I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different. It was a mark thing for me – like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress, and this was definitely a stretch.” She next adds that, “I mean, I’d never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny – they had to show me how to do it.”

Ashley Benson confesses that, “Harmony wanted to break us all out of the good-girl mold. For Selena, Vanessa, and me, our audience is all in their teens or younger, so they’re not even going to be able to see this when it comes out — it’s not appropriate.”

According to Harmony Korine, the movie is more like a social experiment. “I liked the idea of the film as a social experiment. It was like there were two movies — the actual movie, and then the one that the media, paparazzi, and the people tweeting photos were also creating,” he told Interview magazine.
